List of Journals available online

This page was established in January 2005 and is still growing. We especially hope to extend the number of freely available online journals relevant to Chinese studies in this list. If you know of resources that should be added, a note to chinaresource@chinaresource.org would be very much appreciated.

The following list contains both journals subscribed by the Institute of Chinese Studies OR by the Library of Heidelberg University, AND journals that are fully or partially available on the web.
Please note: Full access to SOME of the e-journals listed below is only available within Heidelberg Campus or the Institute of Chinese Studies. In many cases you will need to have the University Library's Proxy enabled.

You might also wish to have a look at the Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB), comprising journal and newspaper holdings of more than 4300 german libraries.

In addition, you might check the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), hosted by Lund University, Sweden, for more e-journals (i.e. Britsh Columbia Asian Review, Graduate Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies, Studies on Asia). Although this collection is still not too big, however, all content is freely available (April 06: 2175 journals, 596 searchable at article level).
